It has a solution temperature range from -5 to 60°C and vapor pressure from 1.8 to 12.2 mmHg at 25°C, with a solubility in water of about 10 g/L at 20°C. The main interactions for this substance are hydrogen bond and hydrophobic interaction energies with anions such as chloride and hydrogen sulfate, and micelles formed by fatty acid esters. This product also interacts with organic acids such as fatty acids.
