Product Information
- 1H-indazole, 5-(1-piperazinyl)-
- 5-(Piperazin-1-yl)-1H-indazole
5-(Piperazin-1-yl)-1H-indazole is a ligand that binds to the 5-HT6 receptor. It has been shown to have a high affinity for this receptor (Ki = 0.7 nM). The binding of 5-(piperazin-1-yl)-1H-indazole to the 5-HT6 receptor leads to an increase in intracellular calcium, which activates phospholipase C and protein kinase C. This leads to the activation of a number of other signaling cascades, including those involved in vasoconstriction, platelet aggregation, and neurotransmission.
