7-Bromofuro[3,2-C]pyridine is a phenylpyridine compound that inhibits protein kinases. It has been shown to reduce tumor size in xenografts in vivo and to potently inhibit the activity of various kinases in vitro. 7-Bromofuro[3,2-C]pyridine can be used orally as an inhibitor of kinases. Its oral bioavailability is high and it is metabolized by the liver with a half-life of 6 hours. In vitro assays have demonstrated efficacy against cellular assays exhibiting different levels of resistance to other inhibitors.
