Product Information
4-(2-Chloro-9H-purin-6-yl)morpholine (4CP) is a potent and selective inhibitor of the chk1 kinase. It has been shown to be cytotoxic in hek293 cells, but not in ht29 cells. 4CP inhibits the proliferation of cancer cells, and damages DNA by interacting with the phosphate backbone. The selectivity profile of 4CP is based on its inhibition of chk1 kinase activity. 4CP selectively inhibits chk1 kinases, while sparing other kinases such as p38 MAPKs, JNKs, ERKs, and PKC. This selective inhibition leads to cell cycle arrest at the G2/M phase transition point and apoptosis.
