Sulbactam-related D is a pharmaceutical agent that is used as an antimicrobial agent. It is a sodium salt of sulbactam and has been shown to be effective against Stenotrophomonas maltophilia, which is resistant to amoxicillin-clavulanic acid. Sulbactam-related D has been shown to have better in vitro activity than sulbactam sodium alone. It also has better solubility properties and can be used for preparation of samples for chromatographic analysis. Sulbactam-related D can also be used as a reaction solution in the preparation of pharmaceutical preparations such as nephrology dialysis fluids.
