Description:

Pentaethylenehexamine is a nitrogen-containing compound that has biological properties. It is a low potency, tautomeric compound which can be prepared from hexamethylenetetramine and ammonia. The magnesium salt of pentaethylenehexamine has been shown to react with water vapor and adsorb on proteins in human serum. Pentaethylenehexamine has been used as a fluorescence probe to study protein targets in neuro2A cells.
