Product Information
Methyl 2-(1H-imidazol-5-yl)acetate is an organic compound that has been studied electrochemically. The compound contains a methyl ester and is a coordination acid. It has been shown to yield tetragonally with axial orientation of the oxygens in the methanol solvent system. The carboxylate group is bonded to the potassium ion, which is coordinated by two oxygen atoms from the carboxylate group and three oxygens from the methanol solvent. The electronic transitions are measured as a function of pH and temperature.
