Description:

N-tert-Octylacrylamide is a monomer that is used in research to evaluate the mutagenicity of compounds. It has been shown to be an efficient copolymerization agent, which means that it can be used to create polymers with high molecular weights. N-tert-Octylacrylamide is also used in the production of antiperspirants and as a component of wastewater treatment. The epoxide group in this molecule makes it mutagenic and mutagenicity studies have found that it exhibits high levels of toxicity.
