Product Information
4,4'-(1H-1,2,4-Triazole-3,5-diyl)bis[pyridine] (TPTZ) is a chemical compound with the molecular formula C6H5N3. It has a connectivity of 3 and can exist as different polymorphs: monoclinic and orthorhombic. Single crystal x-ray diffraction analysis has shown that TPTZ has a metal ion coordinated by four ligands. The diffraction data also show TPTZ to be an architecturally complex molecule with two distinct architectures in the crystal lattice. Nitrate is an example of a ligand that can coordinate to the metal ion in TPTZ.
Monomuclear TPTZ exhibits luminescence under UV irradiation.
