Description:
1,2-Dihydroxyindan is a synthetic solid catalyst that has been shown to be an effective inhibitor of the fungal strain Penicillium. It can be used in the synthesis of acetate extract, which is an important intermediate in the production of antibiotics. 1,2-Dihydroxyindan has been shown to inhibit human immunodeficiency virus (HIV) strains by binding to the substrate binding site. This agent also inhibits lipase activity and isomers of alicyclic compounds.
