Description:

1-Diethylamino-2-propanol is a polar solvent that has been used in the separation and extraction of organic compounds from aqueous solutions. When 1-diethylamino-2-propanol is mixed with water, it forms hydrated ions that are able to extract the desired chemical species from solution. The degree of hydration is dependent on the concentration of amines in the solution.
