Description:
3-Cyclohexyl-DL-alanine is a cyclic peptide that inhibits the activity of aminopeptidases, which are enzymes that break down amino acids in protein. This compound is stable and has been shown to be effective against human pathogens such as Staphylococcus aureus and Clostridium perfringens. 3-Cyclohexyl-DL-alanine has also been studied as an inhibitor of mitochondrial membrane potential and group IIA pyridoxal phosphate aminotransferase. 3-Cyclohexyl-DL-alanine has been shown to inhibit the production of inflammatory cytokines in mice with autoimmune diseases, suggesting that it may have therapeutic benefits for these conditions.
