Description:

2-(Benzylamino)-3-chloro-1,4-dihydronaphthalene-1,4-dione is an organic compound that is synthetized from 2-(benzylamino)naphthalene and 3 chloroform. The compound has a chlorine atom as a substituent on the benzyl group. It has been expressed in recombinant E. coli and purified by recirculation from solvents at high pressure and low temperature to yield pure product with no detectable impurities.
2-(Benzylamino)-3-chloro-1,4-dihydronaphthalene-1,4-dione has been found to be soluble in supercritical CO2 (SCCO2) but insoluble in water.
