Product Information
Heptylphosphonic Acid is a synthetic compound that has been shown to be an effective substrate for the immobilization of metal surfaces. The film formed by this acid is stable and resistant to thermal degradation, and can be used as a proton-conducting membrane. Heptylphosphonic Acid also reacts with alkynyl groups in the presence of a palladium catalyst to form ester compounds. These esters are soluble in organic solvents and can be used as a polarizer in liquid crystal displays.
