Product Information
- 3-Carbamoylpicolinc acid
- 3-Carbamoylpyridine-2-Carboxylic Acid
3-Carbamoylpyridine-2-carboxylic Acid is a nucleotide analog that is used in the treatment of hepatitis B. It inhibits the synthesis of DNA by binding to the polymerase enzyme in the cell nucleus. The 3-carbamoylpyridine-2-carboxylic acid molecule has a reactive site that can be modified with various substituents, such as dodecyl groups, which increases its stability and decreases its toxicity. 3-Carbamoylpyridine-2-carboxylic Acid has been shown to be effective against strains of hepatitis B virus.
