Product Information

Name:
2-Phenylquinoline-4-carboxamide
Synonyms:
  • 4-Quinolinecarboxamide, 2-phenyl-
Description:

2-Phenylquinoline-4-carboxamide is a quinoline derivative that has inhibitory effects on voltage-gated sodium channels. It has been shown to induce the growth of cancer cells, and has an inhibitory effect on voltage-gated sodium channels. This drug also inhibits the production of senktide in hCT116 cells and has antitumour activity against human tumours in vitro. 2-Phenylquinoline-4-carboxamide has also been shown to have a protective effect against oxidative stress, which may be due to its ability to scavenge reactive oxygen species. The molecular docking analysis of 2-phenylquinoline 4-carboxamide with the d2 dopamine receptor shows that it can bind tightly to this protein.
