Description:
1,4-Butanediol terephthalate (BDT) is a polyester that can be produced by the reaction of 1,4-butanediol with terephthalic acid. BDTS has high chemical stability and can be used as an additive in polyvinyl chloride resins to improve their mechanical properties. It is also used in the production of particle board and insulation boards. BDTs are usually manufactured in the form of granules or pellets. These particles have a viscosity of about 100 cps at 20°C and a fatty acid content of about 2%.
