Description

Licraside is a natural compound that has been shown to have anti-inflammatory, antioxidant, and immunomodulatory effects in animal models of diabetes. Licraside is an extract from the root of licorice (Glycyrrhiza species), which has been used for centuries as an herbal remedy for various disorders including sore throat, coughs, colds, and bronchitis. Licraside also has a number of biological properties such as carthamus tinctorius and sodium citrate that are excipients used in pharmaceutical formulations. Licraside may be useful in the treatment of radiation-induced damage because it inhibits cellular proliferation and DNA synthesis. The use of licraside in the treatment of immunological diseases is still being investigated.
