Description:
Tri(m-chlorophenyl)phosphine is a substituted phosphine that is used as an intermediate in the synthesis of other organic compounds. It has been used in crystallographic studies, kinetic and electrochemical studies, and mechanistic investigations. The protonation of the ligand occurs at the apical position, but it can also be mediated by solvent molecules. Tri(m-chlorophenyl)phosphine has been shown to have a very short reaction time (about two hours), which may be due to its high reactivity.
