Product Information
N-(3,5-Dichlorophenyl)benzenesulfonamide (NDS) is a molecule that has been found to inhibit the activity of osteoclasts in human bone. It is also a candidate for treating pathological conditions such as osteoporosis, which can be caused by resorption of bone tissue. NDS inhibits the enzyme adenosine deaminase, which is an important factor in pathological processes related to nucleotide metabolism. This drug also has the potential to treat other diseases, including cancer and malaria. The crystal structure of NDS was determined using X-ray crystallography on a single crystal obtained from ethylene glycol at -180 °C.
