Product Information
N-Hexylammonium iodide is a stabilizing additive in organic solar cells. It has been shown to improve the efficiency of perovskite solar cells, and it can be used as a modulator to adjust the exciton and sublattice energies. The mechanism of action of N-Hexylammonium iodide in organic solar cells is not clear, but it has been shown that this agent can stabilize the perovskite layer by sterically blocking methylammonium ions from entering into the perovskite lattice. It is also suggested that N-Hexylammonium iodide interacts with the optoelectronic properties of the perovskite layer by increasing its band gap energy.
