Quinoxaline-2-carbonyl chloride (QNC) is a molecule that has been studied for its potential as an anti-cancer agent. QNC has shown efficacy in inhibiting the growth of human prostate, breast, and lung cancer cells in culture. It has also been shown to inhibit the activation of amp-activated protein kinase and to induce apoptosis. The biological studies on QNC have shown that this molecule may have anti-viral properties. Further research is needed to determine the effects of QNC on tissues, as well as mitochondrial biogenesis and malic acid levels.
