Controlled Product
Description:

Tranylcypromine Related Compound A is a small molecule drug that is being studied for the treatment of depression. Tranylcypromine Related Compound A has been shown to be effective at reducing symptoms of depression in humans, as well as wild-type mice. This compound also has anti-cancer properties and can induce dedifferentiation of pluripotent cells. It inhibits the production of amines by acting on the enzyme monoamine oxidase (MAO) and thereby preventing the breakdown of neurotransmitters such as serotonin, dopamine, and norepinephrine. Tranylcypromine Related Compound A inhibits MAO at concentrations that are low enough not to cause clinical or toxic effects on human liver cells.
