Product Information

Name:
Roseoside
Description:

Roseoside is a flavonol glycoside that belongs to the group of pueraria lobata. It is used as an ingredient in dietary supplements and cosmetics because it has been shown to have protective effects on the liver, kidneys, and cardiovascular system. Roseoside has also been shown to have anti-inflammatory properties. It is usually extracted from the plant by preparative hplc. The major components of roseoside are protocatechuic acid and chlorogenic acids. These compounds are found in other plants such as genus Paeonia and genus Prunus. Roseoside also contains hydroxybenzoic acid, which is a metabolite of benzoic acid found in cranberries and apples. The chemical structures of these compounds are similar to those of rosavin, a compound found in red wine that may be responsible for its beneficial effects on cardiovascular health.
