Description:

Cortisol-1,2-d2 is a metabolite of cortisol that can be used to measure the concentrations of cortisol in the plasma. Cortisol-1,2-d2 is used to evaluate insulin resistance and follicle development in humans. It can also be used to assess human serum or maternal serum for cortisol levels. The LC-MS/MS method is employed to analyze cortisol-1,2-d2 levels in blood samples
Cortisol-1,2-d2 levels are increased by a high level of fatty acids present in culture supernatant and increased dehydrogenase activity. Elevated cortisol levels have been associated with hypertension and fetal heart rate abnormalities.
