Description

2,2-Bis[4-(4-maleimidophenoxy)phenyl]propane is a metastable chemical compound that belongs to the class of compounds called phenoxyethanol. This substance has been detected in urine samples using gas chromatography-mass spectrometry. The detection of 2,2-bis[4-(4-maleimidophenoxy)phenyl]propane in urine can be used as an indicator for metabolic disorders such as renal failure and diabetes mellitus. 2,2-Bis[4-(4-maleimidophenoxy)phenyl]propane is also used as a reagent to determine the presence of drugs and toxins in urine. It is also an analytical method for determining the concentrations of specific substances in biological fluids or tissues by ionization with light emission. The compound is used to help identify drugs and toxins by chemically ionizing them with a laser ablation technique.
