Description:
DMT1 blocker 1 is a peptide inhibitor of the Dmt1 protein. Dmt1 is an enzyme that regulates the transport of certain amino acids into cells. Dmt1 blocker 1 inhibits the transport of amino acids by binding to the extracellular region of Dmt1 and preventing it from transporting amino acids. This inhibitor has been shown to be selective for Dmt1 and does not inhibit other transporters such as Slc7a5, Slc38a2, or Slc38a3. In addition, this inhibitor has been shown to reduce glutamic acid levels in cells.
