5,6-Dimethylbenzotriazole hydrate (DBTH) is a compound that can be used to treat wastewater. It is an environmentally friendly compound that has been shown to be effective in the treatment of wastewater. DBTH is a water soluble, non-toxic and non-corrosive substance which can be easily removed from wastewater by precipitation with calcium chloride or sodium sulfate. DBTH has been shown to have a high efficacy for the removal of both organic and inorganic contaminants.
