Product Information

Name:
N-[1(S)-(4-Chlorophenyl)-ethyl]-3-[3-(4-trifluoromethoxybenzyl)-3H-imidazo[4,5-b]pyridin-2-yl]-propionamide
Description:

N-[1(S)-(4-Chlorophenyl)-ethyl]-3-[3-(4-trifluoromethoxybenzyl)-3H-imidazo[4,5-b]pyridin-2-yl]-propionamide is a peptide inhibitor of the sodium current. It is a potent inhibitor of voltage gated sodium channels. This compound has been shown to inhibit binding of the neurotoxin saxitoxin to its receptor and inhibits the activation of voltage gated sodium channels in rat dorsal root ganglion cells. N-[1(S)-(4-Chlorophenyl)-ethyl]-3-[3-(4-trifluoromethoxybenzyl)-3H-imidazo[4,5-b]pyridin-2-yl]-propionamide is also an activator of potassium channels and can be used as a research tool for studying protein interactions and receptor ligand interactions
