6-Azido-N-Boc-hexylamine is a linker that can be used to attach dextrans, biotin, or other molecules to azides. It is a fluorophore that can be used in the nmr spectra of diameters to measure the size of polymers and can also be used with terminal alkynes for ion exchange chromatography. 6-Azido-N-Boc-hexylamine has been shown to have anticancer activity by inhibiting cell proliferation and inducing apoptosis in carcinoma cells. 6-Azido-N-Boc-hexylamine has functional groups that allow it to react with lipases and function as an enzyme inhibitor.
