Dofequidar is a pyrimidine compound that is used as an immunosuppressant drug. It is used to treat autoimmune diseases and inflammatory bowel disease. Dofequidar has been shown to inhibit the transcription-polymerase chain reaction (PCR) of T lymphocytes in vitro, which may be due to its ability to bind hydrogen bonds in DNA. Dofequidar also binds to monoclonal antibodies, including anti-CD3 and anti-CD20, and inhibits the proliferation of mouse hippocampal cells.
