Description:
Chloro[(1,1²-biphenyl-2-yl)di-tert-butylphosphine]gold(I) is a gold(I) complex with the formula AuCl. It is used as a catalyst for reactions involving hexafluoroantimonate (PFSA). The gold complex is prepared by reacting gold triflate with 2,2'-diphenylbis(5,5'-dibromobisphenol)-4,4'-diylidene (chloro[1,1'-biphenylene]-2-diyl di-tert-butylphosphine). This catalyst has been shown to be useful in the preparation of acetonitrile from chloroacetonitrile and sodium tetrachloroaurate. Chloro[(1,1²-biphenyl-2-yl)di-tert-butylphosphine]
