(Z)-5-((Z)-3-chloro-4-((S)-2,3-dihydroxypropoxy)benzylidene)-2-(propylimino)-3-(o-tolyl)thiazolidin-4-one is a dimethyl fumarate analog that has been shown to be an effective oral treatment for autoimmune diseases. It was more effective than the placebo in two-way crossover trials with chronic oral administration and had no serious adverse effects. The drug was well tolerated in patients with bowel disease and was also safe in patients with cardiac impairment.
