Product Information
Benzyl N-[1-(hydrazinecarbonyl)-2-(1H-imidazol-5-yl)ethyl]carbamate is a catalytic hydrogenation reagent that is used in the synthesis of polypeptides. It reacts with methanesulphonic acid and cyclic compounds to give benzyl esters. The catalytic hydrogenation of benzyl esters gives linear products. This product can be used as a condensation agent, which leads to the formation of a residue and benzyl group after removal of the catalyst. Benzyl N-[1-(hydrazinecarbonyl)-2-(1H-imidazol-5-yl)ethyl]carbamate has high activity in catalytic hydrogenation reactions and is hydrolyzed by p-nitrophenol to form an amide.
