Product Information
6-Ethoxy-1-methyl-2-[(E)-2-(3-nitrophenyl)ethenyl]quinolin-1-ium methyl sulfate is a quinoline derivative that has been used in the development of light-sensitive silver halide photographic emulsions for film and paper. This chemical is completely decomposed by microbial metabolism, hydroxy methyl, and chlorine atom. It also has an absorption peak at 254 nm, which can be used to measure the concentration of 6-ethoxy-1-methyl-2-[(E)-2-(3-nitrophenyl)ethenyl]quinolin-1-ium methyl sulfate in test samples. The compound is usually desensitised with fatty acid to avoid light exposure. When exposed to UV radiation, it becomes a particle, halide, or silver.
