Product Information

Name:
4H-Imidazo[4,5-c]pyridin-4-one
Description:

4H-Imidazo[4,5-c]pyridin-4-one is a pharmacologically active substance that has been shown to be an antagonist of the Angiotensin II type 1 receptor. It is a potent inhibitor of angiotensin converting enzyme and prevents the conversion of angiotensin I to angiotensin II. 4H-Imidazo[4,5-c]pyridin-4-one has been shown to bind to the ligand binding domain of the Angiotensin II type 1 receptor, which leads to antagonistic effects on this receptor. This compound also interacts with other receptors such as PPARγ ligand and Tautomerase (Tau). The crystal structure of 4H-Imidazo[4,5-c]pyridin-4-one has been determined using X ray diffraction techniques. This drug can be administered in a pharmaceutical dosage form.
