2-Nitrophenyl b-L-fucopyranoside is a fluorogenic substrate that can be used as an enzyme substrate in the detection of beta-glucuronidase, beta-galactosidase, and other enzymes. It is also a chromogenic substrate for beta-glucuronidase and beta-galactosidase. 2NPB can be used to determine the presence of bacteria such as Mycobacterium tuberculosis and Mycobacterium avium complex by detecting the production of acid from glucose. 2NPB has been shown to conjugate with ligands such as tetracycline or fluorescein, which can be used for drug testing or food safety testing. The high quality of this product makes it suitable for use in diagnostics, environmental testing, and food testing.
