Product Information
Chloro(p-cymene) is a photoelectric material that absorbs and converts light energy into electrical energy. It is an organic solvent, which can be used as a dissolving agent for other substances. Chloro(p-cymene) can be synthesized by the dimerization of acetylene to give vinylacetylene followed by chlorination with chlorine. The dye-sensitized solar cell was first developed in 1990 at the University of Toronto and has been improved since then. The target product is a high efficiency dye-sensitized solar cell that uses ruthenium complexes as sensitizers to generate electricity from sunlight. This process involves the conversion of light into chemical energy, which is then used to split water molecules into hydrogen and oxygen gas, yielding high yields of hydrogen gas (H2).
