Description:

Matrix Metalloproteinase-13 is a metalloproteinase with a broad substrate specificity. It is used as a prognostic factor for cancer patients, and is also used to diagnose and monitor inflammatory bowel disease. In addition, it has been shown to have chemiluminescence activity in the presence of hydrogen peroxide. The MMP-13 protein can be detected using Western blotting with monoclonal antibodies against the human MMP-13 protein. This recombinant human Matrix Metalloproteinase-13 (rMMP-13) can be used as an antigen for immunoassays such as ELISA and RIA.
