Product Information
TL13-22 is a synthetic chemical compound that is used as a research tool in cell biology. The TL13-22 molecule has an affinity for the nicotinic acetylcholine receptor (nAChR) and interacts with the ligand binding domain, which may help to understand the effects of nicotine on ion channels. TL13-22 also has an affinity for nAChRs and binds to the extracellular domain of these receptors, and therefore can be used to study protein interactions. This compound inhibits neuronal activity by blocking voltage-gated Na+ channels. It is also able to inhibit high potassium currents through calcium activated K+ channels, which may be due to its ability to inhibit inwardly rectifying potassium channels.
