Product Information
FFN 511 is a fluorescent analog of the neurotransmitter norepinephrine. It is used as a fluorescent substrate for optical microscopy and to monitor the release of neurotransmitters from nerve endings in granule cells. FFN 511 has been shown to be an effective carbonyl group and piperazine that can be used to synthesize fluorescent substrates. FFN 511 has also been shown to be an excellent chromaffin cell, which are cells that store and release catecholamines, such as epinephrine and norepinephrine, into the bloodstream.
