Product Information

Name:
1-Dodecyl-3-methylimidazolium bis(trifluoromethanesulfonyl)imide
Description:

1-Dodecyl-3-methylimidazolium bis(trifluoromethanesulfonyl)imide (C12MDI) is a cationic ionophore that has surface properties and the ability to transport ions. It is used in lithium ion batteries because it can form stable complexes with lithium cations. C12MDI exhibits viscosity, phase equilibrium, and solubility parameters that are similar to those of water. It also has a low toxicity, which makes it an environmentally friendly ionophore. C12MDI has been shown to be able to degrade polychlorinated biphenyls and dioxins, making it an effective biocide for environmental pollution control.
