Product Information
5-(1H-Imidazol-1-yl)pyrimidine is a centrosymmetric molecule that belongs to the class of piperidine. It has been shown to react with azides and triazoles to form 5-substituted 1,2,4-triazole derivatives. The ligands of these complexes are oriented in a specific manner, with the imidazole ring positioned at the center of the molecule. This arrangement creates hydrogen bonds between the nitrogen atom in the imidazole ring and oxygen atoms from two acetonitrile groups on either side of it. The 5-(1H-imidazol-1-yl)pyrimidine ligand is luminescent under UV light.
