Product Information
2,9-Dichloro-4,7-diphenyl-1,10-phenanthroline is a sensitizer used to enhance the efficiency of phosphorescent materials. It has been shown to be an efficient singlet energy transfer agent in organic solvents and can also be used as an exciton transport material. 2,9-Dichloro-4,7-diphenyl-1,10-phenanthroline's molecular structure consists of two phenanthrene rings with two chlorines on the same side of one ring and two dichlorines on the other side. This arrangement allows for efficient energy transfer between molecules. Excitons are formed when electrons in an excited state fall back down to lower energy levels and release energy in the form of light. Exciton formation is dependent on the distance between molecules and their relative orientation. 2,9-Dichloro-4,7-diphenyl-1,
