2-Amino-5-chloro-3-nitropyridine is an antiviral drug that is a potent inhibitor of the human immunodeficiency virus (HIV). It is a molecule with two amino groups and one nitro group. The functional theory for this drug is that it binds to the viral enzyme reverse transcriptase, inhibiting its function.
