Description:
3-Acetylaminopyrazole is an esters that has a pyrimidine ring and pyrazole. It is a reagent that can be used in the synthesis of azaindolizine, which is an anticonvulsant. 3-Acetylaminopyrazole has been shown to react with ethyl cyanoacetate to form a lactam. This reaction produces the desired product with good regioselectivity. The hydroxyl group on the pyrazole reacts with malonate to produce the desired product, azaindolizine.
