Description:
2-Amino-3-(trifluoromethyl)pyridine is a cyclic compound that yields a cyclic amine with diazotization. It has been shown to react with ammonia to give a diamide. This product can be used as an activating reagent for amines and alcohols and has been used in the synthesis of pyridones. 2-Amino-3-(trifluoromethyl)pyridine has been shown to have anti-inflammatory properties, which may be due to its ability to inhibit prostaglandin synthesis.
