Description

2-Aminomethylpiperidine (2-AMP) is a functional amine that is used as a precursor in the synthesis of some pharmaceutical drugs, such as flecainide. 2-AMP can be used to synthesize the polyamine analogue of 2-aminopyridine, which has been shown to have potent antitumor activity against tumor cells. The structure and properties of 2-AMP are determined by its molecular geometry, including the number and type of atoms in the molecule, as well as its charge distribution.
