4-Amino-1-[(3S,4S,5R)-3-(Fluoromethyl)-4-Hydroxy-5-(Hydroxymethyl)Oxolan-2-Yl]Pyrimidin-2-One is a biologically active compound that can be used in the synthesis of acetoxymethyl radicals. It has been shown to have deoxygenation activity and biological activities such as antileukemic activity. 4-Amino-1-[(3S,4S,5R)-3-(Fluoromethyl)-4-Hydroxy-5-(Hydroxymethyl)Oxolan-2-Yl]Pyrimidin-2-One has also been shown to inhibit cell growth and induce apoptosis in cancer cells.
