4-Azido-2,3,5,6-Tetrafluorophenyl)-[6-hydroxy-2-(4-hydroxyphenyl)-1-benzothiophen-3-yl]methanone is an unlabeled compound that binds to the estrogen receptor with high affinity and has been shown to inhibit breast cancer cell growth. It is a novel small molecule that can be used for the treatment of hormone receptor positive cancers. The structure of this drug is based on the known antiestrogen clomiphene citrate. The 4AHTFPPM has been radiolabeled with aziridine to form a radiopharmaceutical that can be used for imaging in vivo. This drug can also be labeled with other compounds such as azides or silylating agents for use in affinity labeling experiments.
